We Don't Have to Understand
Anyone who has studied the scriptures knows the story of Job. We know that he was engulfed by such sorrow that whatever hurt we are presently facing, we sense only a glimpse into the full impact of his anguish. We also recognize and rejoice at the conclusion of Job's story, for as we read in chaper 42, Job was twiced blessed. We revel in the idea of Job's happy ending. It's chapters 3 through 42 that we often neglect in our study. In these chapters we see "the living" after the crisis and the consequences that follow. We watch God mold Job.
